Ellon Fire Brigade raise over £9000

A total of £9400 was handed out by Ellon Fire Brigade to various charities and local organisations.

The money was raised by the local firefighters throughout 2019 at events including their community Christmas tour, car washes and a family open day.

Representatives from the 18 recipients were invited along to Ellon Fire Station for a presentation evening.

The beneficiaries were:

  • The Fire Fighters Charity – £4000.
  • North East Scotland Fire Heritage Society – £500.
  • Family Support Trust – £500.
  • Better Balmedie – £500.
  • Ellon Health Centre – £400.
  • Haddo Medical Practice – £400.
  • Ellon Boys’ Brigade – £300.
  • Ellon Bowling Club – £300.
  • Kayleigh’s Wee Stars – £300.
  • Hamish Dear’s Warm Hugs – £300.
  • Friends of ANCHOR – £300.
  • Ellon First Responders – £250.
  • Pitmedden First Responders – £250.
  • Ellon Talking Newspapers – £200.
  • Ellon Autism Group – £200.
  • Ellon Amateur Swimming Club – £200.
  • Ellon SWI – £200.
  • Ellon RBL Pipe Band – £200.
