Busy month for church

It has been a busy couple of weeks for Ellon Parish Church, with various events taking place ahead of Christmas.

They held their annual festive afternoon tea, with all ages enjoying mulled wine and mince pies as well as home bakes and teas and coffees and entertainment provided by the church choir.

A charity concert to raise money for Tearfund Scotland welcomed New Scottish Hymns Band from Glasgow to the church for an evening of seasonal musical entertainment.

The church’s flower team led a number of wreath making workshop’s giving people of all ages the opportunity to try their hand at making their own wreath to take home.

A film night saw families come together to watch Small Foot, and Santa even made a surprise visit to the event!

Ecumenical carol singing around the care homes was also popular again this year.

The church will continue to be busy this week, with:

  • Beer and carols event in the Tolbooth tonight (Thursday) from 7.30pm.
  • Twinkle Stars and Star Squad nativity service on Sunday at 10.30am.
  • Stories of music and faith at Ellon Kirk Centre at 7pm on Sunday.
  • PJs and onesies all ages service at 6.30pm on Christmas eve.
  • Family service at 10.30am on Christmas day.
