It is the season of goodwill, and this was reflected at the Ythan Singers' Christmas concert recently when they raised £425 for a north-east charity.

The concert boasted a selection of Christmas favourites, including In The Bleak Mid Winter, The Holly And The Ivy and Away In A Manger, as well as a special performance of Fantasia On Christmas Carols.

There were also plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with the singing of popular Christmas carols.

All of the money raised at the concert will support Home Start, a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times.
