A joint effort by three local schools have led to a video being produced to mark Anti Bullying Week 2019.

Auchterellon Primary School, Meiklemill Primary School and Ellon Primary joined together to sing a song to spread the message of saying no to bullying.

This project was kickstarted by pupil support worker Graham Wilson.

He supports children and young people through social and emotional issues in school and their lives.

The video is of 50 children from across the schools singing Don't Give Up to raise awareness and encourage people to stand up for each other.

He said: "With help from my friends at three primary schools across Ellon we created a video.

"The message is easy as there is never any excuse or place in the world for bullying.

"We do not have to like one another, but we also don't to be mean to one another either.

"Sticks and Stones and mobile phones, sending messages that will cause pain.

"Words can hurt the same if not worse.

"So let's change and make being kind reign.

"A huge thanks to everyone involved, you are legends."

The video has over 2,000 views so far.

An spokesperson for Aberdeenshire Council said: "Three schools from the Ellon area worked together on this.

"Well done, folks and thank you for sharing."
