A scan on Saturday June 17 contained bad news for the defender in the shape of cruciate ligament damage.

The club believe it could rob them of Wood’s services for at least the majority of next season.

Thistle are set to play their first competitive game of the season on July 15 when they travel to League 2 outfit Cowdenbeath in their first Betfred Cup tie.
