A WOMAN has been charged following a series of vandalisms in the Buckpool area.

It is believed a number of vehicles, including a BMW 4x4, were damaged after being scratched with a key.

A spokesman for the police said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 44-year-old woman has been charged and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to recent vandalisms in the James Street and Seaview Road areas of Buckie.”

As part of their investigations police are thought to have reviewed video footage posted on Facebook by a local householder, Shona Coull, which was captured on her CCTV system.

The clip, which has gone viral, appears to show a woman dog walker scraping an object up against the side of Mrs Coull’s BMW.
