The Buckie, Portsoy and Macduff rescue teams are eager to here from potential interested in signing up to help save lives along the Moray Firth coast.

As the Coastguard are not yet able to hold open meetings at local stations, an online Q&A event will be held on Sunday from 7.30pm to 9pm to allow people to find out more about the rewarding roles available.

As a Coastguard Rescue Officer you will be fully trained and equipped to carry out search and rescue operations along the coastline. From a missing person search to a cliff rescue you could be called out, at any time, in all weathers, to save a life.

No experience is necessary as full training will be given. A full UK driving licence is required and recruits must be of good health.

Applicants should also live/work within 20 minutes of the station applied for.

Although much of the training will be delivered across evening sessions applicants must also be able to take part in a New Entry Training course which will take place Monday 13-Friday 17, June 2022.

Those interested should email area3@mcga.gov.uk to receive more information.

Please include in the subject 'Application Request' and the team name you are applying for (eg Buckie) and remember to include your name, address, telephone numbers and email address.
