Three arrested after alleged robbery at Portknockie store

TWO men and one woman have been arrested and charged in connection with a reported robbery at a community store.

Yesterday evening (Thursday) police were called after an incident at the Spar store and Post Office in Portknockie.

Officers were called to the scene at around 5.30pm after receiving a report of a robbery at the premises on Church Street. Police said that nobody was injured.

Two men, aged 29 and 36, and a 25-year-old woman have since been arrested and charged. They are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.

The store opened later than usual today and the Post Office section is currently closed.
