Third Top Tier Wedding Awards finals in a row await for Moray florist Twisted Willow

A MORAY florist is hoping the finals of a forthcoming wedding awards will be blooming great for her business.
Caroline Holme's florist business Twisted Willow – which was formerly based in Fochabers but is now run from her home near Urquhart – is one of nine finalists in the Top Tier Wedding Awards (TTWA) in the Florist of the Year category.
It marks the third year in a row Caroline has graced the Top Tier finals, her first appearance seeing her head back up the road from the ceremony in Aberdeen with the trophy.
The process to determine finalists and ultimate winners in Top Tier is very much bride and groom orientated. Couples nominate their top three wedding suppliers, with the top one receiving a gold vote and the other two a silver and bronze respectively.
The finalists are drawn from the suppliers attracting the most votes in each category. The victors will be determined by highest level of gold, silver and bronze votes. There will not be a judging panel to decide a winner unless there is a tie between two or more finalists.
Looking forward to the awards ceremony near the end of this month, Caroline said: "It's great, it's so exciting to be nominated for the third year in a row for the Top Tier awards.
"I think it helps just to be nominated for these awards, although it's obviously great to win it. There's a total of nine florists in the final, including myself, so I guess that means I'm in the top nine florists in the north of Scotland. That's not bad going!
"The fact that it's couples who nominate and vote for the finalists and winners makes me feel really appreciated and appreciated, it makes me feel special and loved that people have put me in the final for three years in a row. I must be doing something right."
Caroline said she was looking forward once again to heading for the Granite City.
She continued: "I'm just going to go along and see what happens on the night.
"It's a great atmosphere and even though it's a contest everyone is really supportive, we're delighted whoever wins."
This time last year Caroline had not long given up her premises in Fochabers in favour of working from home.
"It's been a busy time over the last year, I've had time to concentrate on brides and weddings as well as my usual florist work," she added.
"I don't have the stress of running the shop now and I've got my studio space here at home up and running."
The TTWA finalists will discover their fate in the Sandman Signature Hotel in Aberdeen on February 25.
Joining Caroline at the awards from the local area will be Buckie DJ Paul T and Avorio Bridal from Fochabers.
