The coveted award celebrates businesses that have consistently received great traveller reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the 10 per cent of all listings on the site globally.

So far the Scottish Dolphin Centre has welcomed nearly 50,000 visitors in 2023, and many of them have enjoyed excellent sightings of the local bottlenose dolphins who visit Spey Bay to feed on fish outside the estuary. Visitors can learn more about the whales and dolphins that live in Scottish waters, and about WDC’s work to protect them.

The centre also offers a gift shop and café serving home bakes and local producers.

SDC manager Alison Rose said: "We are delighted to win another award and we’d like to thank all of our past visitors who took the time to complete a review on the site.

"We take pride in providing a great visitor experience for all who come looking for dolphins with us and I hope this will encourage even more people to come to Spey Bay."

Congratulating the centre staff on their award, John Boris, chief growth officer at Tripadvisor, said: "The travel resurgence we’ve seen throughout the past year has even further heightened the competition.

"Earning a Travellers’ Choice Award demonstrates that you have provided great experiences to those who matter most – your guests."
