Small rise in Buckie Harbour fish landings

THERE was a slight rise in fish landings over the course of last week at Buckie Harbour.

Five vessels took ashore 291 boxes of fish/prawns/squid and 36 bags of clams. This compares to 258 boxes and no bags the previous week.

Landing their catches were: Our May; Boy Sam; Flourish; Emerald Dawn; Lily Oak.

On the cargo front, two boats called at Buckie last week.

The MV Rurik (Latvia) imported 2109.132 tonnes of malt from Hamburg on March 20, sailing light to Aberdeen on March 22.

March 24 saw the MV Wilson Ruhr import pre-fabricated steelwork (95 tonnes) from Teesport. She sailed light to Sligo the following day.
