Sentence deferred on Buckie men

TWO Buckie men will have to wait until next month to find out their fate after guilty pleas to a number of offences.

Sentence was been deferred on Buckie men Lindsay Stewart and Mark Stewart when they appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Sentence was deferred until July 23 on the men, who appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, June 8.

No narrative was given for the offences committed by 22-year-old Lindsay Stewart of The Meadows and 24-year-old Mark Stewart of Letterfourie Road in Milton Drive on June 6.

Lindsay Stewart admitted assaulting two men and threatening behaviour towards police.

His co-accused pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour and engaging in a fight.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald called for a background report and a restriction of liberty assessment.
