REAP to offer second energy bills workshop in Moray

A SECOND workshop to help those on benefits cope with rising energy bills is to be held at the start of next month.

Organised by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered by Keith-based environmental charity REAP, the session will follow on from a successful inaugural event in August.

Whether it is a case of having been caught off guard by higher bills and payments, uncertain income or the loss of a job, this workshop will help DWP customers find a way forward and take the first step towards getting on top of things.

As part of the workshop, REAP will include: Free home energy saving advice including help with high bills, switching, advice about available grants and loans, support if customers are worried about contacting their energy company through REAPs Energy Advice Moray project; The Community Energy Champion will offer Free and interactive energy saving advice; Getting the best deal on your energy bills; Switching tariffs and/or suppliers; Saving energy in your home; How to use heating controls to keep you warm and save money; Information on energy grants and schemes.

The Energy Savings Workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 4 from 1pm-3pm at Moray Pathways Marketplace, The Inkwell, Francis Place, Elgin, IV30 1LQ.
