BUCKIE teenager Kristofer Taylor can’t wait to take the pitch with Rangers’ legends this Sunday.

Kristofer will be part of the Rangers team on Sunday.
Kristofer will be part of the Rangers team on Sunday.

He will don a Rangers strip as part of a charity match at Borough Briggs, home of Elgin City, for former Rangers defender Fernando Ricksen’s charity, Motor Neurone Disease Scotland and local charitites.

A legends team will take on a Ricker McIntosh XI, which has been put together in memory of Elgin lad Ricker, a Celtic fan, who died last year from MND.

Rangers’ legend Ricksen will attend the game in person. Kris’ dad Barry Taylor was the highest bidder in an auction for fans to get the chance to play in the game and handed the chance-in-a-lifetime to his son.

Kristofer (18) said: "I didn’t believe my dad at first. I thought he was winding me up."

To find out more about the game, who will line up for the legends and the chance to win tickets to the big match, see the Banffshire Advertiser on Tuesday.
