A PLANNING application has been lodged with Moray Council for permission to expand the Portgordon Maltings plant.

The submission, lodged on February 12, proposes to extend the malting's production capacity and storage, including new germination vessels, kiln, barley storage shed, drying and dressing facilities, malt storage silos and associated roads drainage and infrastructure.

The application – reference number – 24/00233/SCN can be viewed at www.moray.gov.uk

Portgordon Maltings Ltd is run by Crisp Malt.
