Portgordon fireworks spectacular ahead

Friday October 28 at 7pm will see the event open at the village harbour, the display itself blasting into life around 15 minutes later.

There will be a special touch when it comes to getting the extravaganza under way this year, as Portgordon Fireworks Committee chairman Kenny Gunn explained: “The display is being set off this year by Portgordon’s Golden Couple, Veronica and George Thow, who will be celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on the night of the display.

“They have been helpers at the fireworks event for many years and it was an easy decision to ask them to push the button to start the entire event which will contain several ‘Golden Sections’.”
