The event, the second to be held since Covid restrictions were removed, is set to be held over the weekend of July 22-23. Once again, Spey Bay Community Hall will act as the host venue for the event.

One of those looking forward to the exhibition was art group chairwoman Kitty Bell.

She said: "There will be well over 100 framed paintings covering a multitude of subjects in various mediums.

"Our members are always keen to experiment with different materials thus keeping the exhibition interesting.

"There will also be mounted but unframed work available, allowing buyers to pick their frames of their choice.

"Last year we did not offer cards at the exhibition, but being a year on after lock down, some cards will be available, many reflecting paintings on display.

"There will be raffle. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available and included in the entry price of £2."

All of the pieces in the exhibition have been created by group members over the course of the last year. Works on show at the exhibition will be available for sale.

The event will be open 10am-4pm both days.

The current membership of the group is drawn from a wide area, including Portsoy, Elgin, Portknockie and Keith.

The group meet every Friday from 1pm to 3.30pm at Clochan Community Centre. It caters for all abilities, mediums and techniques. Members are happy to exchange knowledge, ideas and provide mutual support.
