Staff and residents from Parklands and Burnbank care homes in Buckie, along with Eilean Dubh in Fortrose, will appear in 'The Parklands Party: a Care Home Christmas,' an hour long festive special this evening, presented by Gary Robinson, former managing director of MFR.

Mr Robinson is programme director for the new care network which began broadcasting in June.

As well as featuring a host of residents' favourite festive tunes, the programme will feature messages and song dedications from family members and interviews with staff from the care homes.

Mr Robinson said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Parklands Care Homes this Christmas to bring some festive cheer to their residents and staff, and to the care sector across the UK.

"While many of us will be enjoying Christmas with friends and family, care home staff will be hard at work ensuring that their residents have a magical time. This programme is a tribute to the millions of paid and unpaid carers who will be caring for others this Christmas.”

The Parklands Party will be broadcast on Wednesday, December 22 from 7pm and repeated on Thursday, December 23 at 5pm. Listen at careradio.org.uk or download the Care Radio app.
