A BUCKIE-based care home group is set to provide a funding boost for local community organisations through a new fund.

The Parklands Pathway Fund aims to back projects that promote sport and well-being, offer support for older people, promote community sustainability and environment, education and young people.

The venture is part of the group's 30th anniversary celebrations.

This fund is open to community groups and charities based in Moray and the Highlands, specifically in areas where Parklands has, or has had, a presence. This stretches across Buckie, Cullen, Aberlour, Keith, Ullapool, Tain, Muir of Ord, Fortrose, Inverness, Grantown and surrounding areas.

Each application will be individually evaluated by the Parklands management team. While they will strive to achieve a fair geographic distribution of funds, success will ultimately depend on the compelling nature of each application.
