'No mask, no entry' policy comes into force at Buckie Tesco

BUCKIE Tesco have joined an increasing trend among stores up and down the country by implemeting a 'No mask, no entry' policy.
It comes against the backdrop of the new strain of Covid continuing to spread and taking the NHS to the brink of breaking point.
Store manager James Trendall, posting on the I'm fae Buckie, far are yi bidin' noo? Facebook page, moved to reassure customers who have exemptions from wearing masks.
He said: "We do understand that there are medical exemptions to this and ask where it is possible to use a sunflower lanyard to highlight this to our teams.
"We remain understanding and are trained to support you and allow entry.
"Where you have genuinely forgotten a mask we will have free disposable ones to hand out at the front door to allow you to shop as normal.
"We will again have a presence at the front door daily to support this safety message which will include our store management team. This is now supported by all of the ‘Big Four’ supermarkets."
Mr Trendall went on to hight other ways customers could help keep themselves and fellow shoppers safe.
"We would also like to politely ask that where possible please shop alone. This will vastly limit the number of people in store and lessen the risks to customers and colleagues alike.
"Again we understand and will be sensible with the application of this as we understand some customers need support shopping and also people may need to bring children who cannot be left at home alone.
"Groups of shoppers and families would be discouraged where this is possible though for the same reasons as above.
"Social distancing is still in place and is more important than ever at this time.
"As always thanks again for your understanding and patience and I’d like to thank my colleagues for their continued hard work in difficult and worrying times."
