MORAY Wellbeing Hub have unveiled a scheme to help with expenses involved with digital connection to people in Moray.
By doing so it is hoped to improve wellbeing during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: "Due to social distancing rules people are relying on using online tools like Zoom, Google Classrooms, Skype, Slack, Facebook Messager, WhatsApp etc.
"This can mean an increase in costs for some people at a time when they may be facing extra financial challenges.
"We want anyone in Moray to be able to connect to our online events, Moray health and education services, their local community, friends and family to maintain wellbeing."
Funding support for the scheme has been provided by the Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation and the William Grant Foundation.
Anyone in Moray who faces a financial barrier to connecting online is eligible to apply for funding.
Award decisions are made based on assessing individual need, but most costs are expected to be around £15/under £50. People can claim more than once if there are funds available the next month.
Some of the items which can be covered by the scheme include a webcam for an existing computer, a mobile phone holder and contributions towards the costs of mobile data or internet fees.
While larger items cannot be covered the hub are willing to discuss ways they can support people tap into other local resources to solve their technology needs.
To claim, please download this form and read it carefully before purchasing any items.
