ELIGIBLE projects have until January 8 to apply for support from the Moray Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.

With a strong focus on prevention and early intervention, this fund aims to develop capacity within community organisations to support the mental health and wellbeing of individuals. Run by tsiMoray, it aims to help tackle the impact of social isolation, loneliness and mental health inequalities made worse by the cost of living crisis.

The Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund was originally announced by Kevin Stewart, Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care in October 2021 in response to the mental health need arising from the pandemic. Building on the success of years one and two, and the focus on wellbeing and prevention in the Transition and Recovery Plan, a further £15 million for year three of the fund was announced in April 2023.

The fund provides significant investment into community support for adults.

A total of £256,030 available to distribute to support local grassroot community activity in meeting the aims of the fund.
