SENIOR students at Milne's High had the chance recently to showcase their artistic talents when they held an exhibition of their work.

The library was to be the host venue for the event for around 30 young people studying in the school's art and design department prior to them sitting their exams. They have been studying for N4, N5, Higher Advanced Higher and NPA Photography qualifications.

The work on display counts towards their final grades in those exams.

The exhibition was open to not just to students and staff but also to family, friends and some community groups such as Milne's Croft and the Fochaberians.

One of those delighted with the success of the exhibition was PT Art and Design Aileen Neillie.

She said: "The exhibition included both Design and Expressive folios ranging from S4 to S6 as well as a display of photography from those pupils sitting their NPAs.

"It was well received by students, staff, family and friends supporting our young people in celebrating their success."

Ms Neillie added that the students had ownership of their work, producing both design and expressive folios, with some themes being of a political nature and reflecting their views.
