KIDS at a Buckie primary school have been doing their bit to help local people hit the hardest by the cost of living crisis.
Youngsters from Millbank Primary had previously paid a visit to Buckie Salvation Army Corp's warm bank and larder as part of the Big Help Out which was designed to help celebrate King Charles' coronation by encouraging volunteering and fostering community spirit.
Recently it was time for the Corps to pay a return visit to the school, with Employment Development Co-ordinator Cara Kennie being joined by warm bank chef Dave Chambers, his wife Maria and Corps Greeting Sergeant Hilda Reid, who volunteers with the larder.
They were to leave laden with donations from the youngsters for the larder.
Ms Kennie said: "We were very pleased with the donations, and they have restocked the cupboards and will certainly make a difference to the Buckie community. The whole school took part in bringing in donations, and Mrs Flett’s P6/7 class led the way with initiating the collection.
"We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated."
Operating from the Corps hall on New Street in the town, every Tuesday from 11am to 2.30pm sees the food larder open its doors while on Wednesdays there is an invitation to all who need it to pop over to the warm bank between 11am and 3pm.
