Families experiencing great hardship may be eligible for a grant from the Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund.

Grants can provide urgent assistance for essentials items as an immediate relief to families with children (aged 21 and under) who are experiencing great difficulties to assist with a range of needs, such as food, utilities, clothing, bedding, appliance repairs, or other essentials.

The fund does not cover carpets, floor coverings or electronic devices.

Applications must be supported and submitted by a sponsor, acting in their professional capacity. Eligible sponsors include social workers, health care professionals, teachers, clergy and third sector organisations

Available funds are limited and all applications will be evaluated against evidence of a family’s financial status. Applicants who receive an award from the Urgent Assistance Fund cannot re-apply for a period of one year or, in some instances, up to two years.
