THERE was plenty to celebrate for 1st Buckie Company Boys' Brigade recently when they held their annual awards evening.
The South and West Church in the town hosted the event which saw boys rewarded for their hard work and effort over the course of the last year.
Special guests for the evening were Charles Milne and his wife Alison, who are sponsors of the Company. Mr Milne was invited to present the boys with their awards.
Prizewinners:
Anchor Boys: Community Appeal – The boys have been collecting jars of coins and those who have collected the most towards the appeal in the Anchor Boys are: Louis-Neil Grant, Jonathan Slater. Best All Round P2 Boy: Charlie Innes; Best All Round P3 Boy: Billy Pirie.
Best Team: Competitions are held throughout the year and along with attendance and behaviour points are accumulated. This session there is a Best Team for Monday and also a Best Team for
Tuesday. There are no team leaders this year in the Anchor Boys. Monday teams are made up of P3 boys and Tuesday teams P2 boys. P3 (Monday) – Vulcan team (Callum Eagle, Vidur Fadia, Matthew Gallon, Mason Gardiner and Harley Grant); Primary 2 (Tuesday) – Chinook team (Harlow Taylor, Jonathan Slater, Charlie Innes, Malachy Smith, Alick Thain, Freddie Wright and Zak Wyness).
