Ian Millar and Dominic Spenser are taking their blend of melodic jazz standards and original compositions to the Institute on Saturday, November 4 for the Jazz in the Village event. The duo, who play sax and piano, have been taking their music to rural communities all over the UK.

They use programmable lighting and table lights to create a wonderful intimate atmosphere for the music. In addition to some wonderful tunes Ian and Dominic entertain with stories of their travels in their tour bus – an old converted Yorkshire ambulance.

Ian said: “We are delighted to be performing all over the UK in a variety of venues with many sell out concerts and record sales in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival."

Dominic added: “We are now also making many return visits to venues up and down the country.

"Throughout lock down we called ourselves the Socially Distanced Duo now we’re getting out and meeting our audience again!”

The event gets under way at 8pm with tickets costing £12. Accompanied under-16s get in free,

Tickets are available at the local pharmacy – telephone (01343) 820207 – or at the Institute (07843 967409)

A licensed bar will be available throughout the evening.
