Fish landings up at Buckie Harbour

FISH landings at Buckie Harbour rose by over 100 boxes last week, although those of clams fell markedly.

A total of 563 boxes of fish/prawns/squid were taken ashore by eight vessels, along with 44 bags of clams. This compares to 419 boxes and 448 bags the previous week.

The boats landing at Buckie were: Chloe Ella; Our May; Pegasus; Lily Oak VI; Boy Sam; Flourish; Emerald Dawn; Crystal Stream.

A single cargo vessel called at Buckie Harbour last week, the Lithuanian-registered MV Klaipeda. She imported 2448.62 tonnes of malt from Hamburg on June12 before sailing light to Leith the following day.
