Some 176 boxes were landed after none were taken ashore the previous week. There was a fall in the bags of clams taken to the quayside, with none last week compared to 43 the week before.

Landing their catches were Liberty, Conquest and Chloe Ella.

Two cargo vessels called at Buckie over the course of last week. First in was MV Anita (Dutch) on February 7, importing 1947.520 tonnes of malt from Antwerp before sailing light to Rotterdam two days later.

Also arriving on February 7, the Latvian-registered MV Gerda imported 1031.18 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn, sailing light to Rotterdam on February 8.
