Firefighters tackle Buckie house blaze

FIRE crews rushed to tackle a blaze in a Buckie residential property yesterday (Tuesday).

A fire appliance from Buckie fire station was joined by others from Fochabers, Keith and Portsoy in fighting a fire which had broken out at a house on Great Western Road.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.27pm on Tuesday, December 13 to reports of a dwelling fire on Great Western Road, Buckie.

"Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene to extinguish the fire.

"There were no reported casualties.

"Crews left after making the area safe."

It is believed the fire was extinguished by around 5pm with crews leaving the scene about 6pm.
