The retained firefighters became the first fire station in Moray to host an informal event to help promote greater understanding of the menopause.

It featured a talk via video link by AJ Whittaker and Sally Walker from the Firefighters' Charity before opening up to a more general discussion and a Q&A session.

The event was very well attended with hugely positive feedback received, prompting moves to host a follow on event.

This is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 6 at the station, getting under way at 7pm. The event is free to attend. While it is not necessary to book a place those hoping to attend are asked to get in touch with the team at the station so they can get an idea of the numbers likely to turn up on the night.

The evening will also offer the opportunity for an informal cuppa and a chat.

For more information, visit the fire station's Facebook page.
