Easter theme for Buckie community lunch

THERE will be a decidedly Easter theme to the latest community lunch due to be held in Buckie.

A hearty helping of soup plus a sweet and a cuppa will be offer at the next Buckie community lunch.

The latest lunch is set to be held on Monday, March 27 in its usual venue of the Fishermen's Hall, from 12 noon to 1.30pm.

In keeping with the season, the the chef team of Dave and Ann – assisted by volunteers from Buckie's Roots and A Better Buckie – will be serving up a warming soup a sweet menu comprising: Easter lamb broth; spring vegetable soup; hot cross pudding and custard; chocolate brownies with a caramel cream sauce.

There is no charge but donations are welcome.

In the addition to having some food, a cuppa, a blether and a heat, there will also be partner agencies on hand to offer information and advice on a range of topics.
