Drama as police smash way into Buckie house

POLICE attended in force at an address on Buckie's Brodie Avenue earlier today.

Neighbours reported a property in the area being surrounded by officers, and it is believed that those living in the immediate area were evacuated for a while.

Police in riot gear were later seen smashing open the front door.

A man was observed being removed from the house on a stretcher before being taken away in an ambulance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 5.50am on Monday, March 21, 2022, officers were called to reports of concern for a man at an address on Brodie Avenue, Buckie.

"The 32-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment."
