Deadline looms for Youth Music Fund cash applications

THE clock is ticking for applications to a fund aiming to support young people in music.
The Youth Music Recharge Fund is helping to boost organisations in their post-Covid recovery by offering grants of up to £90,000.
This fund intends to recharge organisations that support children and young people to make, learn or earn in music through improving the mental health and well-being of staff, volunteers, and young people and improving income security.
Youth Music Recharge is aimed at not-for-profit organisations. Not-for-profit includes registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, community interest companies, constituted voluntary groups, and co-operatives. It is open to new, existing, and previous Youth Music grantholders.
The funding will be invested in organisations to bring about two outcomes: Improved wellbeing of staff, freelancers, volunteers, and young people. Embedding good wellbeing in day-to-day working to ensure a healthy and motivated team; Improved capacity and capability of organisations. Helping organisations grow, adapt and be more sustainable.
The funding period should last between one and three years, with a maximum of £30,000 being awarded per year.
The deadline for applications is Friday, January 14.
