Cullen Harbour gala set for great day out by the sea

A GRAND day by the sea is on the cards is on at the Cullen Harbour gala.
Sunday, July 23 is the date to mark in the diary for a busy day of fun for all the family at the Thomas Telford-designed harbour.
Festivities kick off at around 12 noon running through to about 4.30pm.
From 1.30pm to 4.30pm there will be a chance to try out paddle sport taster sessions.
In addition to coastal rowing races, there will be an opportunity to find out what it is like to get behind the oars at a rowing taster session taking place at 3.30pm.
Visits from the Buckie RNLI lifeboat and the local fire station are on the cards, with the quayside set to be packed with a wide variety of stalls showcasing local businesses and community organisations.
Music will be provided by local piper Abigail Campbell – who will welcome the lifeboat to the harbour – and Portknockie group The Cool Jam Cats. The group will be performing over at the sea school.
A barbecue and teas and coffees will also be available.
Visitors coming by car are asked to park at the links as space in limited at the harbour. The event will be cash only.
