The National Centre for Resilience (NCR) Community Council Fund is offering grants to help Scottish community councils develop local plans that address potential natural hazards such as heavy snow, landslides and other disruptive events and enhance their local community preparedness and response to natural hazards.

Successful projects must: Have identified potential threats and hazards specific to their community; Establish adaptation, mitigation and recovery strategies tailored to local needs; Reduce the likely impact of natural hazards and ensure the continued operation of key infrastructure systems; Focus on enabling rapid restoration of critical services following significant disruptive events; Addressing the risks associated with natural hazards and enhancing community resilience; Provide a summary report of the plan's key findings, strategies and objectives which may be shared as best practice examples.

The deadline for applications is January 31, 2024.
