Action for Children will be delivering a programme of three courses at the Lady Cathcart Centre, called AB56 Futures.

Also set to feature are key employability skills such as individual learning styles, working in a team, being a good employee as well as covering the registration requirements to work in the sector.

The initial six-week course is due to get under way on Monday, January 20 and run until February 28. Class times are Monday-Thursday from 10am to 2pm.

This will then be repeated over Monday, March 16-Friday, April 24 and Monday, May 11-Friday, June 19.

The course is open to applicants aged 16-24 (up to 26 for care experienced young people) who are facing barriers to employment. Action for Children are particularly keen to support parental returners to labour market.
