Car smash near Cullen

EMERGENCY services were called to a car accident just outside Cullen in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday).

Police, fire and ambulance were in attendance, as was a Scottish Fire and Rescue service search dog.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.15am on Wednesday, March 30, officers were called to a report of a single car crash on the A98 near Cullen.

"Upon arrival, no one was within the vehicle.

"Following a search of the area, a 33-year-old man was traced a short time later and taken by ambulance to Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
