Busy week for Buckie Harbour

LANDINGS at Buckie Harbour last week broke the 1000-box barrier for the first time in a while.

A total of 21 vessels landed their catches at the quayside, bringing ashore some 1041 boxes of fish/prawns/squid.

This is just under double the figure recorded the previous week, when 548 boxes were offloaded.

No bags of clams were landed.

The boats were: Skua; Brantia; Radiance; Asteria; Chloe Ella; White Heather IV; Boy Sam; Lily Oak VI; Jackdaw: Endeavour; Blue Sky; Transcend; Blue-eye; Stella Maris; Silver Cloud II; Conquest; Camann II; Lee Rose; Deeside; Lily; Emmaley.

One cargo vessel called at buckie last week, the MV Eems Stream (Dutch) which imported approximately 2292 tonnes of soya from Rotterdam on July 15. She sailed light to the North Sea for orders on July 17.
