Buckpool housing development plans unveiled

PLANS to build almost 70 new houses in Buckie have been lodged with Moray Council.

Lodged by GH Johnston Building Consultants Ltd on behalf of Buckie-based developer Morlich Homes, phase 1 of the development envisages the construction of 46 private and 19 affordable homes within wider development framework, landscaping and associated infrastructure near Muirton Way in Buckpool.

The plans call for the construction of two, three and four bedroom homes.

Also included in the site is a play area, a space for public art and two rain gardens to help deal with storm water run off.

The development site is bounded by Buckpool Golf Course to the north, residential properties, Seafield Hospital and the cemetery to the east, agricultural land to the south and Buckie West Cemetery to the west.

Properties in the dveelopment would have access to superfast broadband.
