Tickets have been selling out very quickly as the return of Buckie Community Theatre Group's annual extravaganza is eagerly anticipated by the local community.

Last year's Covid-enforced absence was the first time in 63 years that a panto has not been held in the town.

However, the group have been working hard at their Logie's Lane base to bring their take on the classic tale to the stage at the Fishermen's Hall.

The theatre group's artistic director Kevin Oakes is due to take the title role, with Holly Allardyce playing Bobby Goose.

Stalwart performer Pauline McInotsh will be returning to the boards as the Demon Queen, while Ellie Coull and Claire Macleod will be playing Flora and Fairy Adora respectively.

Performances are due to take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, with a matinee show on Saturday as well.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, with the matinee performance seeing doors open at 1.30pm for a 2pm curtain up.
