Buckie panto set to bring classic tale of Robin Hood to the stage

ROBIN Hood and his merry men are to come galloping into Buckie when this year's panto takes to the stage.
Buckie Community Theatre group are currently putting the finishing touches to their take on the classic tale of the good-hearted outlaws and their implacable foe, the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Having shone in last year's panto, Mother Goose – the first to take to the boards since the pandemic – Claire Macleod and Ellie Coull take a step up to leading roles. Claire will be robbing the rich and giving to the poor in the title role while Ellie will play Maid Marian.
Standing in their way will be redoubtable theatre group stalwart Pauline McIntosh. She is joined by the Evil Sheriff of Nottingham, Gemma Archibald.
Robin Hood is set to run over four performances in the North Church Hall in Buckie, from Thursday, February 2 to Saturday, February 4 inclusive.
The Thursday and Friday shows get under way at7.30pm, with the doors opening at 7pm. On Saturday, the first performance takes place at 2pm – doors open at 1.30pm – with the evening show at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).
Tickets are selling fast and at the time of writing the matinee performance had sold out.
