PICTURES: Buckie hosts Banffshire Battalion Boys' Brigade parade

THE splendid spectacle of BBs on parade came to Buckie recently when the town hosted the Banffshire Battalion parade.

Representatives from host company Buckie were joined by colleagues from Banff and Turriff for the event. Onlookers were treated to the sight of the companies marching through the centre of town, complete with colours flying and buglers playing.

1st Buckie Company Boys' Brigade Captain Alan McIntosh said: "There were over 250 officers and boys from the Banffshire Battalion at the parade in Buckie followed by the service at the South and West Church.

"We were also delighted to welcome the former BB Director for Scotland, Tom Boyle, along to the service, where he handed out long service awards to 17 officers from the Banffshire Battalion.

"In total, the officers have given 417 years of service to the Boys' Brigade."

1st Buckie Company are currently settling in to their new home at Marchmont Crescent business estate, having made the move at the start of the year.
