THERE was a slight uptick in landings at Buckie Harbour last week.

While landings of fish/prawns/squid fell by 18 boxes to 43 there was an increase in the number of bags of clams brought ashore, up from zero the previous week to 61.

Three vessels brought their catches to the quayside – Boy Sam, Our May and Emerald Dawn.

A single cargo boat called at Buckie last week, the Dutch-registered MV Eems Sun. She imported approximately 1900 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on March 1 before sailing light to Teesport two days later.
