Buckie Harbour fish landings round-up

BUCKIE Harbour experienced the quietest possible week on the fish landings front in the run-up to new year with no vessels taking their catches ashore.

However, two cargo boats did call at Buckie over the course of last week.

Christmas Day saw the MV Anita (Dutch) arrive, importing approximately 1880 tonnes of malt from Hamburg before sailing light to the North Sea for orders four days later.

The Liberian-registered MV Runner arrived light from Inverness on December 28, exporting around 2000 tonnes of logs to Ayr on December 29.
