Buckie Harbour fish landings on the up

FISH landings at Buckie Harbour enjoyed a large rise over the previous week, with just over 400 boxes taken ashore.

Six boats landed 406 boxes and no bags of clams, a huge improvement over the tally from the week before of just 20 boxes. No bags of clams were landed in either week.

Bringing their catches to the quayside last week were: Boy Sam; Chloe Ella; Lily Oak VI; Flourish; Bright Ray; Good Fellowship.

One cargo vessel – the Antiguan-registered MV Pregol Hav – called at Buckie last week importing 1601.26 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on April 17. She sailed light to the North Sea for orders on April 19.
