Buckie Harbour fish landings continue upward trend

FISH landings at Buckie Harbour continued their upward trend last week.

Nine vessels brought ashore 605 bags of fish/prawns/squid and 34 bags of clams. This compares to 563 boxes and 44 bags the previous week.

Landing their catches were: Our May; Transcend; Lily Oak VI; Shaulora; Brantia; Emerald; Dawn; Endeavour; Chloe Ella; Skua.

Two cargo vessels called at Buckie Harbour last week.

First in was the MV Swedica Hav (Bahamas) importing 1715.06 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on June 17 before sailing light to the North Sea for orders three days later.

The Isle of Man-registered MV Clarity arrived light from Londonderry on June 21 and exported one seawater filtration unit – weighing 120.717 tonnes – to Antwerp on the next day.
