NETHERHA Care Home in Buckie and Help for Heroes are hosting a World War II-themed commemoration this weekend called Back in Time.

The event, at Buckie Thistle function hall this Saturday, includes afternoon tea, live entertainment, bingo and a raffle. Proceeds will go to Help for Heroes and Netherha's comfort fund for residents, which pays for activities and entertainment.

The event has been organised by Lily Farquhar, who is studying a degree in Events Management at UHI. Lily's late grandfather was a much-loved resident at Netherha and wanted to create an event to support local veterans, and his friends at the home.

Back in Time runs from 1-4pm. Tickets cost £3 per person – but entry is free for carers – and can be collected from Netherha Care Home, Netherha Road, Buckie.
