Buckie area roadworks round-up

A NUMBER of roadworks are set to take place in the Buckie area over the course of this coming week.

In Findochty, BT will be working outside 14 Hall Street until Tuesday or Wednesday while, across town at Main Street Scottish Water will begin works on either Thursday or Friday for three working days.

South of Mill of Rathven, beginning on Tuesday or Wednesday, Moray Council will be working for an estimated three days to replace a damaged pole.

Buckie's Commercial Road has two separate roadworks under way, the first running for around 10 days outside the wind farm Operations and Maintenance base currently under construction and, further westwards, the council will be working on a road crossing to instal ducting for SSE connections, a task expected to take 23 working days from Friday.

The first half of the week is scheduled to see BT working in Spey Drive and Greenbank Court, Buckie to enable new localised ultra-fast broadband connections This activity involves excavation to instal telecoms duct to provide essential service and reinstatement.

A similar operation is due to commence at Work Way, Buckie on Wednesday or Thursday for three working days, as well as at Greenlaw Lane over the same timeframe.

Moray Council will be undertaking works at Main Road, Arradoul to create a dropped kerb, beginning either on Monday or Tuesday for three working days.
