Buckie area kirks have unveiled their Easter week programme.

These are set to get under way on Maundy Thursday – April 14 – in Buckie North, with a Communion Service at 7pm.

Good Friday sees the focus switch to Buckie South & West Church where there will be an evening service. Again, this will take place at 7pm.

On Easter Day a sunrise service will take place at Findochty war memorial at 7am.

Thereafter, most congregations will have their own morning worship services.

A joint Findochty and Portknockie morning service is due to be held in Findochty Church at 9.45am.

Meanwhile, the Buckie South & West service is scheduled for 11.30am.

Buckie North and Rathven have a joint service in the former church with hospitality in the church hall, from 10am. All are welcome.

Easter week will also see the return of the daily communion breakfasts from Monday to Friday. These are being hosted by Buckie Methodist Church and will get under way at 8am each morning. They will be celebrated by Rev Jon Garde using the Methodist Rite, assisted by ministers from other Churches who will deliver a short homily and lead some prayers.

The communion breakfasts were not able to be held due to Covid regulations over the past two years.
